SafeHouse Outreach
Our programs affect change in the lives of those marginalized by society. We serve our neighbors through time-tested programs. These programs are made possible by our dedicated staff, loving volunteers, and generous friends. The SafeHouse Outreach, based out of our 89 Ellis Street location, is responsible for all programs and service actions for those experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to address barriers that individuals experience when facing homelessness. The department is divided into four programs: IMPACT, Atlanta Guardian, Problems Solvers, and the Career Development Program. SafeHouse Outreach will continue its mission to transform lives in the city of Atlanta and beyond. House of Dawn House of Dawn, Inc. (HOD) is a non-profit agency providing housing and supportive services to pregnant and parenting young mothers up to the age of 24 and their children. Since inception, we have helped thousands of young mothers in crisis realize long-term positive outcomes by providing them with a home and the opportunity to develop the life-skills needed to achieve success in life and transition to family permanency. HOPE HOPE for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (HOPE4DV) is a program outreach focusing on single women and mothers with children transitioning from domestic violence. HOPE is partnering with local DV shelters to assist with "next steps" including residence, employment, childcare, education, goal-setting, and much more. Our goal is to provide tools for empowerment: mind, body, and spirit. Area In Need Missionary House, Inc. Area in Need Missionary House is dedicated to serving the communities in the Metro-Atlanta area. Recognizing that various factors can lead to homelessness, such as job loss, eviction, family tragedy, etc., AINHM began to help bridge the gap in 2016 with our “Because We Care” events. AINMH goes out to three Metro-Atlanta hotels three times a month to serve the men, woman and children on the street and living in the hotels and “extended stay” style hotels where they call home. There are over 1,900 homeless children in the metro Atlanta area alone. Where there are children there is a need for our program. |
